“Carpe Lignum, Torne Lignum” is Latin for “Seize the Wood, Turn the Wood”.  I designed this in 2001 to be the International Woodturners Logo and used Latin as it is a neutral language….. it also makes people ask what it means.
The t-shirts have the full design (copyright 2001);  I drew the tree with a turned vase in the center returning to the tree on top.  See the Denim long-sleeve shirts with the Carpe Lignum, Torne Lignum logo.
