This is the most efficient and classiest stopper on the market.
Shaped like the corks used for thousands of years it fits all variety of bottles. It fits screw-top bottles that the tapered style with 3 o-rings does not fit. As you can see in the picture, 2 o-rings of this stopper make contact with the inside of the bottle to form a tighter seal, while only 1 o-ring seals with the tapered stoppers. With a little twist putting it in the bottle, it creates a beautiful friction fit.
This is the same brass that is used in all the water couplings in the country and used to make brass wine goblets. Everyone who loves brass also loves the patina it will eventually develop. The brass creates a striking gift as you can see in the stopper made by Peter Baum in Ohio.
It stands so can be displayed on a shelf when not in use.
This style is used for wood, pottery, polymer clay, ceramics, antique door knobs and golf balls.
The 3/8″ x 16 tpi threaded stud is 1/2″ high with superior threading and machined as one piece.
Top diameter of the stopper is 13/16″ and is 1 1/2″ tall (less the threaded stud).
Use a 5/16″ drill bit, the common size for 3/8″ tapped hole and for soft wood and a 21/64″ for hard wood or acrylics.
If you use any of my mandrels for turning stoppers, there is no need for a tap, the mandrels are self tapping.
