This stopper style is used for golf balls, wood orbs, glass marbles and blown glass orbs. The top is concave with a 3/8″ hole in the center. A lot of glass artists use 3/8″ mandrels and leave a stub on the glass to glue into the hole. The picture of the dragon done by Dag Aasdam in France, is done using this method. The top of the stopper has a gentle chamfer so any size orb will look fantastic.

It stands so can be displayed on a shelf when not in use. It has a sturdy base and stands solidly so it won’t tip.
