Spiral 3/8″ Tap

This 3 flute spiral point tap will solve all your problems when wood is difficult to tap.  It will work great with resin and acrylic.  You won’t need it for all wood but when you do need it, it will be great to have!   With the twisted or spiraled flutes, the chips come out of the hole better so they don’t clod up which is the cause of threads breaking down.  With a regular tap, you need to back it out after 2 or 3 threads but that won’t be necessary with this spiral tap.  These taps are HSS and made in America.
