WHISKEY STOPPER SIZE SUMMARY

The Cosmopolitan Whiskey stopper with 5 o-rings, fits Bourbon, Scotch and some larger wine bottles.   It is 1 1/2″ tall (not including the stud) and is a sturdy 2.3 oz.   The top diameter of the stainless is 13/16″, the top o-ring is wider than the stainless and  are of a “squishier” durometer of nitrile for a superior seal with 2 o-rings making contact with the inside of the bottle.

The modern sleek lines offer something different in the line of bottle stoppers. There is a bit more stainless on the top to allow space for custom laser engraving of names or dates.  Picture shows Niles engraved as example.   This unique stopper design gives you more marketing capabilities as corporate or wedding gifts for example.  Combine with the Cosmopolitan Wine for a set or combine both Cosmopolitan stoppers and my unique Bottle Opener for a 3-piece set.

    The Cosmopolitan Whiskey, I’m not as happy with. The Whisky Stopper doesn’t fit many corked whisky bottles as I would like to see. Maybe a larger O-ring at the top would make it fit more whiskey bottles without substantially increasing the price of the product.

    I am very pleased with your products I have purchased. They are stainless steel, well machined, unique and very attractive. I do my work with carving files. So between a few hours a day, design, blank preparation, actual carving and finishing the end result is typically weeks in the making. Not all carving but lots of “glue and wait”, “finish and wait to dry”, “second coat and wait” – etc. So when finally ready to install the functional part, I sure want that to ADD to the project. The Niles SS parts are the perfect complimentary completion.

    Just for background, until recently I haven’t made wine stoppers. The previously made was around 2003. They were chrome plated and I didn’t like the way they looked after use and some the plating chipped. I was recently invited to have a booth at a Wine, Jazz, and Art show, so wine stoppers seemed to be the ideal compliment to my turnings. Since you have stainless steel and your reputation of a quality product is why I chose your stoppers. The sale price was fantastic also. I have not been disappointed with your product and look forward to see if my craftsmanship sells.

    I especially like the flat bottom bottle stoppers. I market them as both bottle stoppers as well as decorative items for mantles, bookshelves, window sills, entertainment centers, etc. You’d be surprised (or maybe you wouldn’t) how many folks give them a second look and buy with the ability to display the art/piece instead of tossing it into a drawer. Did not get the same response to the tenderizers but that could have been the venues we attended. Will try them again as I personally like them.

    I purchased some of the standard bottle stoppers, and some whisky stoppers. The wine/bottle stoppers work exceptionally well. They fit all of the wine bottles that I use. The Whisky stoppers fit the larger bottles and go down to the last O-ring, like Woodford Reserve. Other bourbon bottles go to the 2nd ring. That is fine with me, although they show 2 or 3 O-rings. Thanks for a superior product.

    I love, love, love the addition of the whiskey bottle stoppers. I hope they are going over well so that they will continue to be available. I need to do something to show their worth to my customers.
    The SS-9000 is my favorite followed closely by the cosmopolitan style.
    I really like the look of the brass stoppers and bought one to try for myself to see what I thought of the patina. I have decided not to sell those because I don’t know how my customers would feel about it even after being explained in my listings. I have found that many buy by sight and never read details so that concerns me. If I knew they would read the details I would gladly sell them because they are so perfect for many of my materials.
    Once I found your stoppers I have never thought to buy any others. I make and sell many items and stoppers are probably my favorite thing to make because it can be fairly quick and there is so much more creativity allowed in the process.

    I like your products very much! The stoppers are very high quality. I’ll admit I’m still learning and trying to perfect the best way to thread the blank.
    I find hard to try and thread the blank (round or square) on to the mandrel. I’ve seen T-bar handle thread cutting tools. Perhaps you sell this and I don’t know. I should check your site. But overall I really love your products and will be ordering more!

    I think your business ethics, and high concern for customer satisfaction is just excellent! As far as the bottle stoppers & openers go, the ones that I have used are excellent. The only complaint I have had (this includes my own personal experience of use, as well) is the O rings are not very pliable in that they are not too easy to insert into the bottle, and they are even more difficult to pull out. Of course, I know that means that they are sealing well, but many have asked if it would be possible to achieve a more user friendly “balance” in pliability and sealing well. Of course, I don’t know the answer, and you may not either. However, it would sure be nice if that modification could be implemented

    I would like to say that I do like the stoppers I bought from you. The stainless gives a quality look that is not achieved by plated stoppers. I have been a machinist for over 15 years and think that everything that is critical on stopper from the placement of the o-rings to the threads on the insert end are good. The finish is a bit more rough than I would prefer (16 finish), however, I am not saying that is bad. All in all, a good price for a good product. When I start doing some more stoppers I will most likely be using your company again
